When I was given my first knitting book by Kaffe Fassett, a whole new world of color opened up before me. Fassett is an artist. He understands color. I didn't until I started working out his patterns. Before that I was afraid to mix colors, weights, and textures. Afterward, anything went. That was when I started serious yarn collecting.
